Camps
We are now taking deposits for our Summer camps. They will start the 2nd of July and run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10 until 3. Kids will ride at least twice a day (weather permitting). Camps include more of the looking after of ponies as well as learning how to ride them safely. They also include fun and games.
Kids will be taught how to put tack on ponies, to groom, feed and care for ponies, how to spot injuries and how to interpret the ponies body language. We will show them how to clean their stables and clean their tack and teach them the parts of the saddle and bridles.
The last day has competitions and races which are suitable for all levels. Rosettes and prizes are awarded to best turned out. We also want our camps to be fun so there will be time for games in the tennis court and gardens. This is a great outdoor fun activity for kids to learn new skills and make new friends.
We will have helmets and boots but kids should bring their own lunch, water and dress for the weather (Whatever that may be). If the weather is particulary bad we will spend more time under the roof inside the barn. There may be less riding as a result.
Birthday Parties
To book your birthday party, please phone us on 0872788658
Our birthday parties vary according to the size and age of the children. Younger kids will do a pony ride and some grooming. We will teach the basics. Our aim is that kids will feel comfortable by the end of the ride.
We provide fully approved riding helmets for all riders. You can come earlier and we will show your children how to groom some of our ponies.
When Booking a Birthday Party with us, you are required to provide a registration form to all parents/guardians of the children that will be attending on the day, allow them to fill them out and then bring said forms to the Equestrian Centre on the day. (One per child- filled out by their own parent/guardian) If you have not done so, we will need you to fill in a registration form on behalf of each parent/guardian for the children on the day. Otherwise, you can instruct the parent to drop off their children at the equestrian centre on the day of the party, at which time they can fill in the form themselves onsite.
You can collect forms at the yard or you can download a copy at the bottom of this page. Please do fill in the front and back
